Sips with Sunae' Wine Tasting Fundraiser

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. And we've found a great way to honor the occasion.

Kierra Sunae' has spent years supporting the needs of families grieving the loss of their baby. As an infant loss advocate, I am embraced as a trusted partner during one of life’s most tragic events. I’ve often wanted to share the stories of some of the families whom we support. But grief isn’t linear. And for me, it's important to honor the journey with dignity and respect. My desire is to share stories of loss while protecting the vulnerability and sometimes unpredictability of those grieving.

On Sunday, October 29, 2017Healing Footprints Foundation is joining forces with Write The Vision Creative Works to bring you The Vilomah Experience - a series of monologues that journey through early miscarriage, late miscarriage, stillbirth, newborn death and childhood loss.

This production is the answer to my prayers. I can assure you, you’ve never seen storytelling like this!

We've found an innovative way to pair stories of loss and healing with some of my favorite wines.

I'm so excited! Come out and join us.

I look forward to sharing sips with you!!

Footprints Still Standing

We're excited to announce that our founder, Kierra Sunae', is a new contributor at Still Standing Magazine.

As a wife and mother of an amazing four year old son, Kierra is committed to sharing the highs and lows of healing after infant loss. With a strong faith, she walks with purpose determined to make grieving hearts smile again… one footprint at a time.

Scenes from Footprints at Brunch

Our Inaugural Big Hats & Bow Ties Brunch was a huge success!

Our guests looked lovely decked out in their big hats and bow ties. The theme was perfect for a beautiful Spring afternoon at Atlanta's Houston Mill House. We enjoyed a delicious brunch buffet with butler passed mimosas. Our three dynamic speakers shared their heartfelt journey of life after loss. Their transparency and sincere reflections of pain were very inspiring.

Our founder presented her mother with an angel gown memorializing her first born grandson, Colby. This was certainly one of the highlights of the afternoon as there was not a dry eye in the house. Simply beautiful!

As we shared more about the organization and some of the families who have been helped by our services, it became evident that having support is what leads to healing. All of our speakers emphasized the importance of having support throughout their journey. Being surrounded by friends, family, even strangers who genuinely care about the depth of your pain can bring healing. Ultimately that’s the mission of Healing Footprints… to facilitate successful grief outcomes by showering our families with loving support. Because love heals!

This was the first fundraising event for Healing Footprints. We are proud to announce that our 2017 Big Hats & Bow Ties Brunch raised $5,394. THANK YOU! Thank you to all of our friends, family and supporters near and far. We could not have done this without you. Because of you, we can further our footprint in the infant loss community and continue our mission to support grieving families.

Below are a few photos taken by LKP Studio. This year's event was an amazing expression of love and support. We look forward to more great things next year!

Shopping for a Cause with Footprints

We send a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year's Shop For A Cause fundraising campaign a huge success. The August 26-28th shopping event at Macy's was spectacular. Because of your donations to Healing Footprints, we were able to assist with an infant burial and purchase a baby's grave marker. Both families were elated and extremely grateful. Again, THANK YOU!

We are working on other exciting projects. Our footprint in the infant loss community is continuing to grow and we appreciate your continual support.
